Paying your PCN
What is a PCN?
A PCN is a parking charge notice. It is issued when there is a parking infringement on private land or in a car park that is managed by a private organisation.
Parking charge notices are not enforced by local highway authorities or the police.
How to Pay a PCN
- To Pay your parking charge notice (PCN) please either call 03301 649264 or go online to paymypcn.info. To pay your PCN, you will need your parking charge notice reference number, your vehicle registration and a valid credit or debit card.
- To Appeal your PCN, please go online to appealmypcn.info or by post: Parking Control Dept, Wise Parking Ltd, PO Box 7989, NN11 1HJ.
When appealing this Parking charge notice, please ensure you include the below:
- Include full details of the reason for your appeal/challenge along with any supporting information/evidence.
- The PCN reference number and the vehicle registration mark.
- Your Name and Address.
When appealing/ challenging a PCN, it must be within 21 calendar days of the initial parking charge notice issue date. Should you appeal within 21 days of the PCN, and your appeal is unsuccessful you will be given the opportunity to appeal to the independent appeal service (IAS) which is an independent body. All relevant details of the process to follow for IAS appeals will be notified to you at the time.
If you have not heard from us within 28 days, please get in touch. Do not assume your appeal is successful.
- To provide new driver details, please go to transfermypcn.info. To transfer liability online, you need to quote your parking charge notice reference and your vehicle registration.
How do I appeal a PCN?
To APPEAL your PCN, please go online to www.appealmypcn.info or by post: Parking Control Dept, Wise Parking Ltd, PO Box 7989, NN11 1HJ.
You MUST appeal within 28 calendar days of the issue date on the PCN (parking charge notice).
When we receive your appeal, it will be put on hold and no additional charges will be incurred while we investigate/review.
If you have not heard from us within 28 days, please get in touch.
Do not assume your appeal is successful.
Why have I received a PCN?
Wise Parking car parks have clear terms and conditions on our signs. You will only receive a Parking Charge if you have breached them, for example – If you have not parked wholly within a single marking bay.
Always ensure that you read the sign when you park and that you are following the terms and conditions to avoid a Parking Charge.
What happens if I ignore my PCN?
Ignoring a PCN is not a good idea.
If you feel it has been issued incorrectly, the best thing to do is appeal your PCN at www.appealmypcn.info, See more information on the back of your PCN.
When we receive your appeal, it will be put on hold and no additional charges will be incurred while we investigate/review.
Do I have to pay for parking if I ride a motor bike?
If you are riding a motorbike, you are not required to pay for Parking. However, you must follow the terms and conditions for the car park. If you don’t, you will receive a PCN (parking charge notice).
I wasn’t driving, how can I transfer my PCN?
To provide NEW driver details, please go to www.transfermypcn.info
To transfer liability online, you need to quote your parking charge notice reference and your vehicle registration.
What do I do if the pay and display machine is not working?
If the pay and display machine is not working, there is usually another way to pay for parking, try to find another pay and display machine, pay using a mobile app (if the feature is available) or go to reception and speak to them about your options.
Can I park using an expired blue badge?
You can’t use an expired blue badge. If you do, you will be issued with a PCN.
To ensure you don’t receive a PCN, check your badge is in date, if it is not, you will need to register to be renewed.
My PCN is with Debt Recovery, what do I do?
Unfortunately, once it goes to Debt Recovery, Wise Parking are unable to help, you will need to contact the Debt Recovery company directly using the contact details they send you.
